He did not explain the negotiable items of the contract: earnest money, closing costs, etc. He tried pushing us to continue the sale even though the inspector detected a serious structural fault that would possibly place my family in physical danger. When we wanted to cancel the deal, he was very rude and pushy to us over the phone. He also forced us into forfeiting our earnest money, despite the fact the contract stated we could receive it back in full.
We had a wonderful experience with this company. Martha Womack was our realtor. We didn't know her prior but we came to know her well through the process. She knew of our urgency to find a house. Our offer was made 12/11 and she managed to have us moved in less than a month later. That is EXCEPTIONAL timing during the holidays and it was even delayed a weekend because of a mistake by the title company (and she handled that situation well too). She even arranged an appointment (in her personal time) to allow us to surprise our children once the offer was accepted. I am so grateful she went beyond expectations so that we could see the excitement on their faces. It has been over two years and we love our home even though we have had some unforeseeable issues. Because of Martha's family's experience in the building industry, she was knowledgeable and professional. We met Ben and Andy soon after and both were very friendly. My husband recently used them in a business deal and he said that experience was just as good as the first time around. We would definitely recommend their services to others.
We do not recommend him to ANY first-time home buyers. However, if you are a seasoned and experienced home buyer, then going through this agency shouldn't be nearly as much of a headache.
If we could give this a negative rating, we would! Andy took advantage of the fact that we were first-time home buyers and appeared to be biased towards the sellers.
